On January 1st, the reporter learned from the Information Office of the Government of the Longnan Prefecture of Guizhou Province that the health and family planning department of the Minnan Prefecture had detected positive H7N9 bird flu virus in 1 case of unexplained pneumonia. The province was confirmed to be infected with H7N9 poultry. In the case of influenza, the patient is currently being treated in hospital.
It is understood that the patient is 49 years old and currently lives in Sandu County, Minnan Prefecture. On December 25, 2016, the patient presented with upper respiratory symptoms such as cough, sputum, and fever. On December 27, the patient went to Sandu County People's Hospital and was transferred to Yinan State Chinese Medicine Hospital for isolation and treatment on December 29, 12 On the 31st of the month, the Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed the case as a human case of H7N9 bird flu.
At present, the case is still being actively treated, and all close contacts of the case are clinically observed. No abnormality has occurred. After investigation, the case was engaged in poultry trafficking activities before the onset of the disease.
After the outbreak of the epidemic, Minnan Prefecture initiated an emergency plan to fully treat the patient. The relevant departments actively carried out the prevention and control of the epidemic and strengthened the management and prevention of the live poultry market. The provincial and state-level expert teams were established to conduct further on-site epidemiological investigations. The contacts were medically observed.
