Sample homogenization method and equipment

The principle of homogenizer commonly used in laboratories: Mix the experimental sample with the solution or solvent to achieve the standard solution required by the experiment. According to the working mode of its homogenizer, it can be divided into the following three categories:

1. Ultrasonic crushing homogenizer

This type of homogenizer is mainly used for emulsification and homogenization of various tissue mashing/cell lysis, organelles, nucleic acids, protein extraction, and other industrial samples. The advantages are: easy to use, different types of samples can be processed by changing different probes; emulsification and homogenization effect are good, suitable for single sample operation. Disadvantages: Multiple samples cannot be processed at the same time. Different samples need to be replaced or cleaned to increase the chance of cross-contamination between samples; it has certain influence on biological samples with special requirements.

2, probe rotary blade homogenizer

This type is used for the purpose of processing toughness samples by rotating the crucible in a homogenizer to achieve separation, mixing, crushing and homogenization. It is used to disperse animal/plant tissue, and it can be used for extraction of nucleic acid, protein, etc. with lysate. It can also be used for industrial resin and pigment to make suspension/emulsion. The main advantages of this type of homogenizer are: low speed, high torque, no noise. Easy to use, different types of samples can be processed by changing different probes, which is easy to operate and more suitable for single sample operation. Disadvantages: Multiple samples cannot be processed at the same time. Different samples need to be replaced or cleaned to increase the chance of cross-contamination between samples. For the treatment of thick-walled samples such as bacteria, yeast and other fungi, such homogenizers are not considered.

3, tapping homogenizer (also called tapping homogenizer, aseptic homogenizer)

The tapping homogenizer slams on the bag through the slamming plate. The resulting pressure breaks up the contents of the bag and mixes it. The grinding bead homogenizer puts the sample and the corresponding beads into a test tube and rotates and vibrates through three-dimensional high-speed rotation. The sample is ground by high-speed tapping of the grinding beads, and the sample is broken by homogenization, and the application range is wide. For the breakdown of animal and plant tissues, algae, bacteria, yeast, fungi or molds, as well as various sporophytes, DNA/RNA, protein extraction.

The advantage is that it can efficiently process stubborn samples including bones, spores, soil, etc. Each homogenizer of the homogenizer has a homogenizing knife to avoid cross-contamination, and the operation is simple and efficient. It is better to treat brittle samples. The disadvantage is that large volumes of samples cannot be processed. The single treatment volume of a single sample is generally less than 1.5ml, and the input of consumables and equipment is high.

Homogenizer features

·Stable operation, low noise, convenient cleaning, flexible and flexible, can be used continuously, and can be superfinely dispersed and emulsified. It can be widely applied to emulsification, homogenization and dispersion of industrial production.
·It can make the material liquid refine and mix under the triple action of extrusion, strong impact and pressure loss expansion. This equipment is an important equipment for food, dairy, beverage and other industries. ·All kinds of dairy beverages such as milk soymilk are homogenized under high pressure, which can make the fat globules in the dairy liquid remarkably refine, and make the products easy to digest and absorb after eating, and improve the use value.
·In the production of products such as ice cream, it can improve the fineness and looseness of the liquid, so that its internal texture is obviously improved.
·It can be used in the production of emulsion, glue, juice, slurry, etc. It can prevent or reduce the score layer of the liquid and improve the appearance of the liquid, making it more vivid, more concentrated and more mellow.

Homogenizer application industry:

Biomedicine; food industry; daily chemical care products; coating inks; nanomaterials; petrochemicals; printing and dyeing auxiliaries; paper industry; pesticides and fertilizers; plastics and rubber; power electronics;

Mainly used for tissue dispersion in the field of biotechnology, sample preparation in the pharmaceutical industry, enzymatic treatment in the food industry, and in the pharmaceutical industry, cosmetics industry, paint industry and petrochemical industry.

Veterinary Drugs

Veterinary drugs constitute a large group of compounds, it includes antibiotics, anthelmintics, hormones and nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) among others. They are used to treat sick animals but also as growth promoters in healthy individuals
