Filling age
Generally, ducklings with a body mass of 1.7 kg or more can be fed on 40-day to 42-day-old days. However, in the case of poor feed conditions and slow growth of ducks, it may sometimes be delayed to 45-day-49 days of age, and when the body mass exceeds 1.6 kg, it will be fed again. Generally speaking, the age of early filling is better, the feed remuneration is better, the age of filling is too late, the feed conversion rate is reduced, and economic efficiency is poor. However, early feeding, due to the young ducklings, is likely to cause paralysis and death.
Prepare before filling
Ducks were grouped according to their body weight and body mass before they were filled, and ducks with normal development and good health were selected and filled first. Resolutely eliminate sick ducks and individuals who are too weak to get a good tidy finish. In addition, the claw tip can be cut before filling to avoid scratching each other, affecting the appearance of the carcass and reducing the grade.
Formulated special diet
The feed nutrition of the duck feeding stage should appropriately increase the proportion of carbohydrates and reduce crude protein levels. The metabolic energy requirement is 12558 kJ/kg, about 12% of crude protein, about 0.8% of calcium, and about 0.44% of available phosphorus. The feed used must be finely crushed. Since the feed used for feeding is mainly corn, it is easy to precipitate after adding water. Therefore, 10%-15% of wheat flour must be added to the feed to act as a paste.
Duck feed formula
Feed formula I (%): corn 59.0, barley 4.8, wheat flour 15.0, bran 2.2, fishmeal or meat meal 5.4, rapeseed cake 1.0, bone meal 1.9, calcium carbonate 0.4, table salt 0.3, soybean meal 11.0. Feed formulation II (%): corn 60.0, barley 1.0, wheat flour 15.0, bran 8.8, fishmeal or meat meal 3.5, rapeseed cake 5.0, bone meal 1.0, calcium carbonate 1.4, table salt 0.3, soybean meal 4.0. In addition, many vitamins and trace elements need to be added in the above formula, and the standard can be used as standard for growing ducks or slightly lower.
When the temperature is not high, first add water to mix the material and the ratio of material to water is about 5:5 or 4:6. Allow to stand for 1 hour to 2 hours to soften and stir and homogenize more easily. When the weather is cold, the next meal can be soaked after each meal. Each soaked feed should be used up once to prevent fermentation deterioration.
Filling operation points
First, the adjusted feed is loaded into the storage box of the feeder, and the stirrer is rotated to prevent the feed from sedimenting. Then, slowly duck into the waiting circle to wait for feeding. The operator first used the pedal to feed the clutch of the duck, checked the discharge condition, and adjusted the discharge amount.
Feeding time and filling amount
Feeding is usually done 4 times a day and filled every 6 hours. The amount of feed each time (refers to the weight of the water-bearing feed) is about 1/12 of the weight of the duck, and the amount of feed each day can be increased by 30g-50g. The wet material, after 1 week, can fill 300g-500g each time. In the cool season, the ducks are well-digested and can be filled in as appropriate, and should be flexibly controlled according to the specific circumstances.
